Real life. . .

As I was walking I saw this crack on the sidewalk.  I stepped over it and started thinking. . .what makes things in life more important or a challenge?  That crack was nothing for me to step over, but for an ant or small bug it is a challenge.  It used to be so easy for me to lift something heavy up on a shelf, but after having surgery for a torn shoulder muscle and going to physical therapy for the past year to regain movement and strength, I have a new understanding of the challenges people face with something so many of us take for granted.

That crack in the sidewalk didn't stop the sidewalk-it still continued on.  Life is also like that sidewalk . . . it doesn't stop when there is an obstacle (like this crack). . .it continues on.  Those cracks are events in life that challenge us, and help us understand that it is really "simply real life" things that are important. . .sunrises, sunsets, flowers, shared moments, helping others, worship, family, friends and love!
